Success Stories
It is often difficult to measure the success of intervention efforts and the positive effect it can have on an individual’s life as well as other family members. Examples of successful intervention activities are presented for that purpose. The names have been changed to ensure privacy for these individuals.
Kathy Nate Stephanie Lana ValarieLana received a truancy referral for the JAC as a result of not attending classes she felt were too hard or boring. The assessment showed concerns for anxiety and that Lana was struggling to keep up in some of her classes. Staff recommended tutoring assistance and a Behavior Agreement was developed requiring Lana to attend all classes and seek tutoring assistance. Lana began receiving tutoring help at school and gradually improved her grades in all classes and her attendance improved as well for the remainder of the school semester.
