Kathy Nate Stephanie Lana ValarieKathy came to the JAC on a self referral by her mother after being expelled from school for fighting. The assessment identified concerns with anger, depression and suicidal ideation. Services recommended included anger management, personal counseling and the Gear Up program in school. Kathy attended the anger management classes, enrolled in Gear Up and began receiving counseling from NRBH. Reports from Kathy’s mother and the school based counselor indicated Kathy’s attitude was much better and her attendance and grades in school had improved.
