1451 Collaborative Management Project

On July 1, 2008 the Interagency Oversight Group of Weld County and the Weld County Juvenile Assessment Center (JAC) merged their operations, budgets and boards.  Although these two organizations have merged, the 1451 Collaborative Management Project will continue under the JAC’s name and 501c3 status.

The Interagency Oversight Group (IOG) of Weld County was created in May 2005 after the Board of County Commissioners, seeing a need, solicited partners throughout the county to join the HB04-1451 Collaborative Management Program.

The 1451 Collaborative Management Project has:

Supported improvement of juvenile information sharing.

Helped to secure $2.4 million in Federal funds to increase the safety, well-being and permanency of children who have become involved in the child welfare system due to methamphetamine and other substance abuse in Northern Colorado.

Received more than $804,000 in HB04-1451 Collaborative Management Program incentive funds that are being used to improve and support collaboration processes and/or improve services needed in Weld County.

Provided nearly $230,000 to Weld County programs and services that help provide positive alternatives to incarceration, reduces truancy and provide alternative paths to high school graduation through credit recovery.
