Welcome

The Weld County Juvenile Assessment Center (JAC) is a non-profit, community based service organization which provides coordinated, multi-agency services for youth struggling with life issues, engaged in at-risk behavior or violating community standards or laws.

Through prevention and intervention strategies, comprehensive assessments, case management and coordinated access to services, youth (and their families) are offered positive alternatives for growth and support.

The JAC and our efforts to work with youth and families are the result of collaboration with schools, municipalities, law enforcement, courts and youth/family service providers throughout Weld County as a model to assist Weld County youth.

There is no cost for our services. When a youth comes to the Assessment Center, whether due to police contact, a referral from their school or simply a concerned parent, a needs assessment is done to determine any problematic issues and they are provided with information about local services in their community that will serve them best. JAC staff will follow up with the youth and family to provide additional support as it is needed.
